This weekend my local MQG had our monthly sew day. For our yearly charity event, we made pillowcases for the Ronald McDonald House. Here are the two I made:
Finished the guild block for the month too. Isn't it beautiful? I love the colors and patterns so much and I'm totally not a pink and purple person.
A looming deadline has also kept me uber busy. My other Goddaughter's birthday is next week and her party is on Saturday. Her little brother is celebrating too. I know that she is a huge fan of the show Yo Gabba Gabba so I when I saw the fabric come out I bought some for her and my son, also a huge fan. I asked her mom which character was her favorite so I could get a matching stuffed toy and then asked about her brother. She mentioned he likes the show too so I couldn't just make her a quilt and not him, right?
Did I mention I started these both last Thursday and the party is Saturday??? EEK! Thankfully they are "strip" quilts. Well I got my Goddaughter's done yesterday and the brother's is basted. Gotta get quilting today!!
I'm linking up!
Good job on those pillowcases! Those will definitely brighten up the kids' rooms. I'm embarrassed to say I didn't get to that project. : ( Thanks for linking up to WIP Wednesday!
